IIT JAM 2024 Application Form can be filled till 13th October 2023. Exam Date has been announced. Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) is conducted by IITs on rotational basis. The exam is conducted to provide admission in M.Sc., M.Tech, Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc.Ph.D, etc. programs. It is a national level entrance exam conducted every year. JAM scores are also used in IIPE, JNCASR, IISc, IISER Pune, IISER Bhopal to provide admission in postgraduate courses. The exam is conducted over 100 cities in India. This year, IIT JAM 2024 will be conduced by IIT, Madras. IIT JAM 2024 Application Form

Following are the details about IIT JAM 2024 Application Form with some instructions:

The application form for IIT JAM 2024 is available through online mode.
Candidates must fill the application form with details such as personal, educational qualification, contact, etc.
IIT JAM 2024 Application Form has been released from 5th September 2023.
After filling the form, applicants must upload the scanned photograph and signature.
If in any case applicants fill the details incorrectly, they can correct it from second week of November to fourth week of November 2024.
The last date for submission of application form will be till 13th October 2023.
Submit the application form and take the printout of the same for future reference.

Application Fee:

IIT JAM 2024 Application Fee can be submitted through online mode.
Candidates can pay through net banking, debit & credit card, UPI etc.
Fee for Changing Examination Cities /Test Papers /Category /Gender is Rs.300 apart from the applicable difference in Application fee.
The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

How to Apply for IIT JAM 2024

Step-1: Go to the website (link is given above).
Step-2: Candidates first have to register on website, by entering details such as name, email id, contact number, password, etc.
Step-3: After successful registration, applicants will be provided enrollment id and OTP will be sent.
Step-4: Fill the application form by providing details such as personal, academic, address, etc.
Step-5: Upload the scanned photograph, signature, and other documents.
Step-6: Pay the application fee through online mode.
Step-7: Take the printout of the application form for future reference.

IIT JAM Application Correction 2024

The IIT JAM application correction 2024 facility will be provided by the authority through online mode. Only those candidates will be able to make corrections in the form who submitted the application form before the deadline on the website. Only specific details in the application form will be edited by the candidates during the correction facility.

Details like gender, category, pwd status, and exam center will be changed by the applicants. The correction window will be open for two to three days only. Candidates are advised to make their possible changes in the application form before the last date

IIT JAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The JAM eligibility criteria for 2024 session is provided below:

Nationality: The candidates must be Indian as well as foreign nationals to be eligible for exam.
Physical Fitness: Applicants must have physical fitness certificate at the time of admission.
Foreign nationals with Indian degree are also eligible to apply.

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for different courses mentioned below:

M.Sc. in Chemistry: Candidates must have three year bachelor’s degree with Chemistry subject.
M.Sc. in Economics (IIT, Delhi): Applicants must be graduated in BA, B.Sc., B.Com, B.Math, B.Stat., B.Tech., BE, or equivalent from any recognized university.
M.Sc. Statistics (IIT, Tirupati): The candidates must have bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics subjects for at least 2 years.
Joint M.Sc. Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences: The applicants must be graduated in any discipline with Mathematics and Physics with any one of the subjects i.e., Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Computer Applications & Statistics.

IIT JAM 2024 Exam Pattern

Below we have mentioned complete IIT JAM exam pattern 2024:

Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted through online mode.
Duration: 3 hours will be allotted to candidates to solve the paper.
Medium: The exam will be in English language only.
Total Questions: There will be total 60 questions in the exam.
Subjects: There will be 7 subjects referred to test paper.
Type of Questions: Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
Marking Scheme: In MCQs paper will carry 1 mark questions, MSQs section will carry 2 marks per question and NAT section will have one or two marks per question.
Negative Marking: For wrong answer to 1 mark question 1/3 mark will be deducted, and for wrong answer to 2-mark question 2/3 mark will be deducted. In MSQs & NAT section, no marks will be deducted.

IIT JAM 2024 Preparation Tips

IIT JAM 2024 Admit Card

IIT JAM 2024 Admit Card will be released from 8th January 2024. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter login credential such as enrolment ID and password. It will be available through online mode only.

Candidates make sure to carry their admit cards in the examination hall. IIT JAM admit card will contain details such as candidate name, code of test, address of test allotted, test paper applied, category, sub-category, etc. Along with the admit card candidates must carry photo identity proof as well.

IIT JAM 2024 Answer Key

The IIT JAM answer key 2024 will release in fourth week of February 2024 through online mode. It helps to calculate the scores in the exam. The IIT JAM 2024 Answer key will be available in the PDF format. Answer key will be downloaded set-wise through the website.

After provisional answer key will be released candidates will be able to raise the objection by paying processing charge. The applicants will be able to raise the objection in the month of February 2024. The final answer key will be declared after every candidate will clear their objection.

IIT JAM 2024 Result

IIT JAM 2024 Result will be declared on 22nd March 2024. An All India Rank (AIR) will be given to the candidates on the basis of candidates performance in qualifying exam. It will be available through online mode.

JAM result 2024 will be declared in the form of rank cum merit list carrying the qualifying status of candidates. The merit list will be published separately for each test papers. Those candidates who name will appear in merit list only they will be considered eligible for admission.

IIT JAM 2024 Cut Off

IIT JAM Cut Off 2024 will be released by the authority through online mode. Candidates will be able to check the cut off by visiting the website. It will be released by the IITs/ IISc and other participating institutes separately for the qualified candidates.

On the basis of the cut off marks, admission will be given to the candidates into these institutions. For each admission rounds, it will be released by the authority one by one. It will consist category wise cut off marks for various subjects as per the subject codes. In case candidates score same aggregate marks then the tie criteria breaking scheme will be followed by the institutes.

IIT JAM 2024 Counselling

IIT JAM 2024 Counselling will commence from 10th April 2024 through online mode. Candidates will be selected on the basis of rank secured in the exam. JAM counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds based on the seat availability after each round.

The applicants will accept the allotted seat by paying the a required fee through online mode. Candidates must bring the original documents at allotted centre for verification procedure.
